Bitac Primer is a solvent based product for priming surfaces prior to application of Bitac tape. Supplied in 20L drums, Bitac Primer is recommended for use when the Bitac tape is applied on coarse and uneven surfaces such as milled roads or concrete joints.

Bitac primer is also recommended when cold temperatures are encountered (less than 18˚C).

APPLICATION OF Bitac® PRIMER

• Prime the surface, using Bitac® primer, by brush or roller at an application rate of 4m2 /litre (minimum)

• Coverage width should exceed the Bitac® strip by 50 mm each side.

• Allow the primer to touch dry.

• Any primed areas not covered by Bitac® in 24 hours must be reprimed before placement of Bitac
