The 16mm x 5.8m FRP Fibreglass Tie-Lok Formwork Bar by Safari Group is a lightweight, high-strength alternative to conventional steel Z-bar for concrete formwork applications.

Manufactured from glass fibre reinforced polymer with a continuous threaded profile, the bar is designed for use with compatible 15/17mm Z-bar nuts, wing nuts and formwork plates. Its continuous thread allows accessories to be positioned anywhere along the bar, making it suitable for a wide range of wall-forming and concrete construction applications.

Unlike conventional steel form-tie bars, the FRP bar can be left permanently cast into the concrete. This can eliminate the need to remove the tie bar after pouring and may reduce the requirement for conduit, cones and subsequent patching work.

The bar is non-corrosive, electrically non-conductive and considerably lighter than steel, making it easier to transport, cut and handle on site.
