SikaGrout® Ultra is a self-levelling, ultra-high-strength cementitious grout for critical applications requiring very high early and ultimate compressive strength. Sika publishes approximately 35 MPa at 24 hours and greater than 100 MPa at 28 days, subject to the stated test conditions, mixing and curing requirements.

Typical applications include grouting beneath machine bedplates, anchoring bolts, supporting bridge bearing pads and filling around precast concrete sections. Its high flow assists placement beneath components and around congested details. A two-stage expansion system compensates for shrinkage in the plastic and hardened states, while the formulation is designed to resist segregation and bleeding and is non-corrosive to steel and iron.

Ultra-high-strength grouting should be treated as an engineered installation. Concrete and steel surfaces must be sound, clean and properly prepared, and formwork must be rigid and watertight. Water addition, mixing equipment, grout depth, working time, temperature, curing and the time before loading should follow the latest Sika Product Data Sheet and the project specification. Published compressive strengths do not remove the need for appropriate engineering design and site quality control.
