SikaGrout HES High-Early-Strength Grout – Perth WA
SikaGrout HES High-Early-Strength Grout – Perth WA
SikaGrout® HES is a high-early-strength, rapid-set cementitious grout for applications where quick strength development and reduced downtime are important. It is suited to construction, maintenance and shutdown work where machinery or structural components need to be secured and returned to service promptly, subject to the project specification.
Typical uses include grouting beneath machine bedplates, fixing anchor bolts, supporting bridge bearing pads and filling cavities, gaps and recesses. The product provides good flow, rapid strength gain and resistance to segregation and bleeding when mixed and installed in accordance with Sika’s current Product Data Sheet. It is also formulated to be non-corrosive to steel and iron.
Rapid-setting grout requires organised placement. Prepare substrates and formwork before mixing and ensure materials, equipment and labour are ready because working time can be limited, particularly in warm Western Australian conditions. The surface should be sound and clean, and formwork should be sealed and capable of maintaining the required grout head. Water addition, mixing, grout depth, temperature limits, curing and the time before loading should follow the current Sika instructions. Product selection should account for the required strength at the intended return-to-service time.
